Update on Texture Upload and
Now, you do not have to choose the target folder where you want upload the textures to. With the right way of the texture naming, it will identify the type of texture automatically. We do this so the textures order will be more neat (follow the standard Utherverse texture names), also it will guaranteed fit on the avatar correctly, and will make it more easier for us to work on any expansion program later.

In order to get all the new features from the update, please re-download the UVTexSync.
We have received problem to use our program for some users that have several Utherverse client programs running (like U3D, QA, Rude, and VV), that our program crawl into the wrong folder. First
let me explain that our program will auto-search the folder in your UV folder, therefore if you don't have any UV client in your computer, you might able to download our program but you will not able
to install it. The problem before is if you have QA running first before U3D, it might cause our program to crawl there (as it considered as your main UV client).
To fix such problem, now you can find some .txt file in your uvtexsync folder (you can find this folder in where driver you decide to install our program in). Open the override file and you can find the list of all UV clients. The list is base on order:
Utherverse3D ' utherverse 3D client
VirtualVancouver ' virtual vancouver client
Rude ' rude universe client
UVQA ' utherverse 3d q&a build
The top one on the list is where you get the textures distribute to. Base on that list, if you uninstall your U3D program, it will automatically set our program to distribute the textures to VV client, and so on. The distribution will only go to 1 client everytime you run UVTexSync, so you don't have to worry it will download the textures twice if you have both U3D and QA running.
Again, this is not violating any TOS. We only modify files in our own uvtexsync folder, it has nothing to do with UV resource folder.

Maximum Texture Upload
Currently we set the max file size to 100 kb, if a texture exceeds the limit, it's denied before it gets to the script. If this happen, you will only see a blank Upload Status
after your upload.
the larger the texture is, the greater the storage, and the longer it takes to distribute. The average texture from utherverse is about 30k-40k, so we are being pretty generous. Imagine if a lot of users upload big size textures, it will make our resource folder too full in short time.
If your texture size exceed the limit, just resize your texture to 512x512 or 256x256, and hopefully it can squeeze it into the program.

It comes to our attention about designer texture copyright issue. We understand that many designers in Utherverse like to have their work copyrighted and not wish anyone to misuse their textures.
However with the way Utherverse texture resource work, we are helpless against piracy issue. We have chase our own tail by debating the copright and creative commons licenses for awhile, the conclusion is, no matter which fancy word we use, still cannot guarantee any violation.
So we come up with this conclusion. UVTexture support designers who want to limit access to their texture only for people they approve only. We will ignore the issue where designers get their resource/idea from, this will be personal copyright problem designers face with the original creator themselves. If you create a thing, you have right to have it share with people you allow only.
UVTexture is a free program as service we provide to use. Therefore despite the agreement that we will not modify nor use your textures for commercial use, but we may reject, delete or block other content that we believe to be associated with other user without have to answer to anyone.

Currently we are expanding the program for more individually use, like let designers to open a "store" inside the site, where you can let your clients browse your textures, and subscribe to buy the textures they pick. You can decide whether charge them for the textures they pick or not. This will be a BIG programming project to do, so this "store feature" will be released in about 2-3 weeks.
We will release more update about this new "store feature" when it comes to ready.

We receive some heads up about some users upload non-texture image in our server. Despite we will never understand why someone will do meaningless thing like this, we still need to do something to
prevent this junks nest in our PC. Administers now will monitor all the uploaded images, you will only able to download the verified textures with our program. You can view the report about how many
textures in our server by scroll to very down in uvtexture.com.
We will also ban IP address users that have spam our server. So if anyone ever spam once and get caught, that IP address will be banned forever from using our service.
Thank you for many great responds of the program. We do realize we are amateur and there is some flaw in the program like let users spam the server with junk images. I will only say be patience with us perfecting the program and enjoy using it in meanwhile.
